Lithocarpus andersonii is a tree belonging to the beech family Fagaceae, named after former Borneo Forest Officer James A. R. Anderson. It can grow up to 30 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 60 cm. The bark is smooth and brownish in color. The leaves are coriaceous and can reach up to 10 cm in length. This tree produces purple brown acorns that are ovoid to conical and measure up to 2.3 cm in length. It is found only in Borneo and thrives in lowland peat swamp and kerangas forests.
