Allocasuarina striata, also known as the small bull oak, is a shrub native to South Australia. It typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 2.5 metres and has a dense, erect habit with smooth bark. The plant produces male and female flowers, with the female flowers being yellow-brown in color. It is found in heath and sandy soils and can tolerate drought, frost, and soil salinity. The shrub is often used as a hedge or for soil binding in reserves and parks. It also has cultural significance for Aboriginal peoples, who used it for food, medicine, and making tools. The species was first described in 1927 and later reclassified into the Allocasuarina genus in 1982.
