Xanthophyllum havilandii is a plant belonging to the Polygalaceae family and is named after the naturalist George Darby Haviland. It typically grows as a shrub or small tree, reaching heights of up to 5 meters and a stem diameter of 6 centimeters. The bark is blackish in color and its flowers appear yellow when dry. This plant is found only in Borneo and thrives in lowland mixed dipterocarp forests. Its fruits are round and can grow up to 1.5 cm in length.
