Carpolobia goetzei, also known as Carpolobia goetzii, is a plant species found in Tropical East Africa, including South Sudan, Mozambique, and northern Madagascar. It is a shrub or small tree that can reach heights of 1-5 meters and has leaves that are 3-11 cm long. The plant produces white, cream, or yellow flowers with purple, red, or bright pink honey guides. It also produces a sweet, fleshy, edible fruit that is popular among chimpanzees. The fruit is not commercially marketed or cultivated by locals, but is collected and eaten between April and June. This plant was first described in 1900 by Robert Gürke in the Botanische Jahrbücher für Systematik, Pflanzengeschichte und Pflanzengeographie.
