Vigna parkeri, also known as creeping vigna or vigna menjalar, is a perennial vine that grows in subtropical regions like Kenya, Indonesia, and Madagascar. It has climbing or prostrate stems, with thin and hairy leaves consisting of three leaflets. The flowers are blue, purple, yellow, or white and the pods are linear and oblong with grey to brown seeds. This plant is commonly found in grasslands, forests, and pathways, and can tolerate flooding and moderate levels of soluble aluminum. It grows best in areas with an average annual temperature of 17-21°C and is adapted to both heavy and lenient grazing.
