Vigna dalzelliana is a perennial herb with yellow flowers that is commonly used as fodder. It is often confused with its relative, Vigna minima, and is poorly understood. The plant has slender stems and oval-shaped, pointed leaflets covered in tiny hairs. Its inflorescence grows from the same node as a leaf and its petals are a pale yellow. It is found in Thailand, Cambodia, India, and Sri Lanka, growing between 5-2,500 meters in altitude. Vigna dalzelliana is a common component of monsoon forests and is often grazed on by livestock. It is also used for soil conservation and is listed as present in various national parks and gene banks. However, its habitat is threatened by human expansion and the species is in need of conservation efforts.
