It is a perennial herbaceous plant growing to 10–30 cm tall, with trifoliate leaves and purple-pink flowers.
Trifolium alpestre, commonly known as owl-head clover or purple-globe clover, is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. It is native to central, southern and Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Turkey, and Iran. It is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows to 10-30 cm tall, with trifoliate leaves and purple-pink flowers. It reproduces both clonally and by seed.
