Pultenaea pycnocephala, also known as dense-head bush-pea, is a flowering plant native to eastern Australia. It is an erect shrub with hairy branches and egg-shaped leaves. The flowers are yellow to red and purple, resembling peas. This plant mainly blooms in October and can be found in forests, woodlands, and swampy areas in southeastern Queensland and northern New South Wales. It was first described in 1864 and its name, pycnocephala, means "dense-headed".
