Ornithopus sativus, also known as serradella or common birdsfoot, is a flowering plant in the Fabaceae family. It is native to Southwestern Europe and Northwest Africa and has been introduced to many other regions as a forage crop. It is well-adapted to acidic and nutrient-poor soils and is known for producing high-quality forage. There are two accepted subtaxa of this species.
