Ornithopus pinnatus, also known as the orange birdsfoot, is a plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. It was initially named Scorpiurus pinnata by Philip Miller in 1768 in his book The Gardeners Dictionary. Later, in 1907, George Claridge Druce reclassified it under the genus Ornithopus. This plant is native to Western Europe, the Mediterranean Region, and Macaronesia, but can also be found in other regions as an introduced species.
