Lupinus elegans, also known as elegant lupine or Mexican lupine, is a flowering plant in the legume family. It is native to Mexico and Guatemala and has a branching stem that can reach up to 4 feet in height and 3 feet in width. This plant is often used for habitat restoration in its native range, as it is well adapted to various ecosystems. It is commonly planted in areas that have been degraded by coniferous forests, volcanic activity, and agriculture. With its ability to thrive in different environments, Lupinus elegans plays an important role in restoring and preserving natural habitats.
