Eutaxia cuneata is a unique species of flowering plant found only in the south-west region of Western Australia. It is a slender shrub with red and orange pea-like flowers. The plant has opposite, spreading leaves with a prominent mid-vein and smooth surfaces. Its flowers are borne singly or in pairs in the leaf axils and have orange-yellow petals. The fruit is elliptic in shape and has occasional flattened hairs on its outer surface. This plant was first described in 1844 and is commonly found in heath and woodland areas near the south coast of Western Australia. Its name, cuneata, refers to the wedge-shaped leaves.
