Daviesia filipes is a shrub with hairy foliage and yellow and maroon flowers that is native to Queensland. It grows up to 1.5 meters tall and has crowded, narrowly oblong phyllodes. The flowers are arranged in groups of up to five and bloom from April to November. The plant was first described in 1848 and its specific epithet means "thread-footed." In 2017, two subspecies were identified, with one having flowers in racemes or panicles on the ends of branches. This species can be found in open forests and woodlands in Queensland, with one subspecies being restricted to the drier slopes of the ranges in the Wet Tropics.
