Daviesia decipiens is a unique species of flowering plant found only in the south-west region of Western Australia. It is a shrub with intricate branching and sharp, oblong or tapering leaves. The flowers are orange, maroon, and crimson in color and bloom from June to September. This plant was first described in 1904 and was later given species status in 1995. It is commonly found in woodland, mallee, and kwongan habitats in various biogeographic regions of Western Australia. Currently, it is not considered a threatened species by the Western Australian Government.
