Christia obcordata is a flowering plant in the Fabaceae family, known for its unique butterfly-shaped leaves. It is used medicinally in Japan and Indonesia to treat urinary blockages, and was evaluated as a potential treatment for malaria in 2007, but was found to be ineffective. Common names for this plant include Butterfly Plant, Butterfly Leaf, Iron Butterfly, Butterfly Stripe, and Swallowtail.
