Carmichaelia astonii, also known as Aston's dwarf broom, is a type of pea plant that belongs to the Fabaceae family. It can only be found in the South Island of New Zealand and is considered to be a vulnerable species according to the New Zealand Threat Classification System. The plant was first identified by George Simpson in 1945 and was named after Bernard Aston. A specific specimen collected by Simpson in 1937 is held in the Auckland Museum and serves as the lectotype for this species.
