Astragalus tricarinatus, also known as triplerib milkvetch, is a rare species of milkvetch found only in California. It grows in the San Bernardino Mountains, where the Mojave and Colorado Deserts meet, and can be found in desert scrub and among Joshua trees. This plant is considered endangered, with only 20 individuals remaining in its only known location. It is a perennial herb with silvery-green hairy leaves and cream-colored flowers. Its fruit is a flat legume pod with three distinct ribs.
