Astragalus pomonensis, also known as Pomona milkvetch, is a perennial herb found in Baja California and southern California. It grows up to 80 centimeters tall and has thick, hollow stems with oval-shaped leaflets. The plant produces cream-colored flowers in an inflorescence of up to 45 flowers, each measuring 1-2 centimeters. Its fruit is a bladdery legume pod that becomes thin and papery when dry, reaching lengths of over 4 centimeters. This species can be found in various coastal habitats, including the California Coast Ranges.
