Astragalus miser, also known as timber milkvetch, is a perennial plant found in western North America. It is a member of the Fabaceae family and is considered toxic to livestock due to its content of miserotoxin. This plant has several accepted varieties, including crispatus, decumbens, hylophilus, oblongifolius, praeteritus, serotinus, and tenuifolius, each with its own distribution range. It is most commonly found in states such as Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Oregon.
