Astragalus gambelianus is a species of milkvetch native to California, Oregon, and Baja California. It is an annual herb with slender stems, small leaves composed of several oblong leaflets, and purple-tinted white flowers. The fruit is a tiny legume pod. It grows in many types of habitat, including chaparral and woodlands and the Sierra Nevada.
