Acacia saxatilis is a shrub that belongs to the genus Acacia and subgenus Phyllodineae. It is found only in the south western region of Australia and typically grows to a height of 0.8 to 2.5 metres. The shrub has phyllodes instead of true leaves and produces yellow flowers from September to October. Its seed pods are curved or coiled and covered in a white powdery coating. This species was first described in 1920 and has undergone a few taxonomic changes before being transferred back to the genus Acacia in 2006. It is native to the Wheatbelt and Mid West regions of Western Australia and is usually found in open Eucalyptus woodland communities.
