Acacia limbata is a shrub that is native to northern Australia, belonging to the genus Acacia and subgenus Juliflorae. It typically grows to a height of 0.4 to 2 metres and has grey-brown bark, phyllode leaves, and yellow flowers that bloom from June to July. It was first described in 1859 and has since been reclassified and transferred back to the genus Acacia. This species has a scattered distribution across the Kimberley region of Western Australia, the top end of the Northern Territory, and northwestern parts of Queensland. It is commonly found in Eucalyptus woodland communities and is often associated with species of Melaleuca.
