Acacia fauntleroyi is a shrub or small tree endemic to a part of south western Australia. It typically grows to a height of 1.8 to 7 metres (6 to 23 ft) with minni-ritchi bark and yellow flowers. The silvery to grey-green phyllodes have a linear to shallowly incurved shape and are covered with silky hairs and seven to nine raised nerves on each face. The simple inflorescences occur singly or in pairs in the axils and the obloid to cylindrical shaped flower-heads contain 43 to 49 golden coloured flowers. It is native to an area in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia where it is found among granite outcrops and boulders growing in pockets of sandy loamy soils.
