Acacia chapmanii is a unique shrub that belongs to the genus Acacia and the subgenus Plurinerves. It is found exclusively in the south western region of Australia. This shrub has a compact and intricate structure, growing up to 2 meters tall. Its leaves, called phyllodes, are evergreen and have a length of 2 to 5 cm. The plant blooms in late summer, producing yellow flowers. There are two recognized subspecies of Acacia chapmanii, namely subsp. australis and subsp. chapmanii. This shrub is commonly found in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, growing in various soil types and often near swamps or saline flats. It has a limited distribution, with populations in the north and south of the region. Acacia chapmanii is often found in heath or scrub communities.
