Acacia anfractuosa is a unique shrub or tree that belongs to the genus Acacia and subgenus Plurinerves. It is only found in Western Australia and can grow up to 4.5 meters tall. The plant has thin, curved branches with green to grey-green leaves that bloom yellow flowers from July to December. Its seed pods are dark brown and contain small, glossy seeds. This species was first described in 1976 and has since been reclassified and transferred back to the genus Acacia. It is closely related to Acacia sciophanes and can be found in the Wheatbelt and Goldfields-Esperance regions of Western Australia. It typically grows in sandy soils as part of heath or scrubland communities.
