Symplocos laeteviridis is a plant found in tropical Asia, belonging to the Symplocaceae family. Its name, which means "bright green," refers to its vibrant leaves. This shrub or tree can grow up to 23 meters tall and has a smooth bark that can be green, grey, or brown. It is native to Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, and Sulawesi, and can be found in mixed dipterocarp and montane forests at elevations up to 2,900 meters. There are several recognized varieties of this plant, each with its own unique characteristics and distribution.
