Symplocos candelabrum is a flowering plant found in the sapphireberry family. Its name refers to the candelabrum-like arrangement of stamens in its flowers. This tree can reach a height of 13 meters and has a smooth, dark trunk. Its leaves are alternate and pointed, measuring 80-130 mm in length and 35-50 mm in width. The flowers are white with yellow tips and are 10 mm long, blooming from April to June. The plant is native to Australia's subtropical Lord Howe Island and can be found in sheltered forests at elevations up to 400 m. Its fruits are oval-shaped and turn bluish when ripe, containing three seeds.
