Chrysophyllum mexicanum is a shrub or tree native to Mexico and Central America, growing up to 23 metres (80 ft) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 50 cm (20 in). It is found in forests, particularly on rocky hillsides, at altitudes up to 1,700 m (5,600 ft).
