Parry's primrose, also known as Primula parryi, is a perennial plant found in the Rocky Mountains from Montana to Arizona and New Mexico. It grows in wet areas, from subalpine zones to alpine tundra. The flowers of this plant are magenta with yellow centers and bloom in summer at high elevations and in late spring at lower elevations. The entire plant has a distinct skunk-like smell. It was named after Charles Christopher Parry, who discovered it in 1861 and had previously been honored with the naming of Grays Peak.
