Primula austrofrigida, also known as frigid shooting star or tundra shooting star, is a flowering plant found in the coastal mountain ranges of Washington and Oregon in the United States. It has long, smooth or toothed leaves and produces one to seven magenta flowers with reflexed corolla lobes. This plant grows on rocky slopes near rivers and other moist areas, often with other plants such as alders, rubus, and saxifraga. It is also found in higher elevations with grassy turf and decomposing wood. However, it is only found in about eight locations and populations are small and scattered. Threats to this plant include increased flooding from grazing and logging, which can affect its population size.
