Primula alcalina, also known as the alkali or bluedome primrose, is a species of primrose found in central-east Idaho and Montana. It is closely related to P. incana, the hoary primrose, but can be distinguished by its smaller white flowers and lower chromosome number. It is believed to be a sister taxon to Primula modesta of Japan. This plant has leaves with hairless surfaces, fibrous roots, and thin rhizomes. Its flowers grow in clusters on a stem that can reach up to 24 cm in height, with up to 10 flowers on each cluster. The flowers have purplish-green stems.
