Myrsine myrtillina is a flowering shrub that belongs to the Primulaceae family. It is native to Lord Howe Island and is known for its leaves that resemble those of the myrtle genus Myrtus. The shrub can grow up to 3 meters in height and has small cream flowers with dark pink spots. Its fruits are round and purple, measuring 3.5-4 mm in diameter. This plant is only found on Lord Howe Island, specifically in the upland areas at an elevation of 400 m and above, including the summits of Mounts Lidgbird and Gower. It is considered a rare species on the island.
