Lysimachia lydgatei, also known as Maui yellow loosestrife, is a rare flowering plant in the Primulaceae family. It is only found in Hawaii, specifically on the island of Maui, where there are only four known populations with less than 300 plants in total. This species is considered endangered by the United States government. It is a shrub that can reach up to 1.3 meters in height and produces solitary flowers. It grows in moist or wet shrublands on three ridges on West Maui and is always found alongside its relative, Lysimachia remyi. The main threat to this plant is the introduction of non-native plant species in its habitat.
