Polemonium pulcherrimum, also known as beautiful Jacob's-ladder, is a flowering plant found in western North America. It can be found in various mountain habitats and is a common wildflower in several regions. This perennial herb grows up to 30 centimeters tall and has mostly basal leaves with smaller ones along the stem. The leaves are made up of several pairs of lance-shaped to oval or round leaflets and have a lightly hairy, glandular, and sticky texture with a strong skunk-like scent. The flowers are bell-shaped and range in color from deep blue to white with a yellow throat.
