Polemonium carneum, also known as royal Jacob's-ladder, is a rhizomatous perennial herb found in the northwestern United States. It can be found in various habitats such as lowlands, forests, and prairies. The plant has compound leaves with up to 21 leaflets and produces an open cluster of 3 to 7 flowers. These bell-shaped flowers come in various shades of pink, yellow, and purple. It is also commonly grown in gardens for its ornamental value.
