Ipomopsis polyantha, also known as Pagosa ipomopsis or Pagosa skyrocket, is a rare flowering plant found only in Colorado, USA. It is threatened by the loss of its habitat due to residential and commercial development. This biennial herb grows up to 60 cm tall and has white flowers with purple dots. It is pollinated by various bee species. The plant is limited to a specific soil type and can be found in sparsely vegetated shale substrates and Ponderosa pine and oak forests. However, its habitat is currently disturbed by grazing livestock. There are only two known occurrences of this plant, with an estimated 162,220 individual plants. The increasing human population in Archuleta County poses a threat to this species, as its habitat is being developed for commercial and residential purposes. This development will also affect nearby land, such as highways, where the plant's habitat is located. It is estimated that 86% of the plant's habitat will be affected by development within the next 10 years.
