Rhododendron oreotrephes, also known as shan yu du juan, is a species of rhododendron that is found in Burma and south-west China. It was first collected in Sichuan in 1904 by Dr. Ernest Henry Wilson. This shrub grows up to 4 metres in height and has oblong, bluish leaves that can reach up to 6 centimetres in length. Its flowers are a beautiful pink to lavender color. One of its unique features is its fragrant leaves, which have a scent reminiscent of warming spices with hints of cinnamon and pine.
