Rhododendron pulchrum, also known as ��������� or Rhododendron × pulchrum, is a type of rhododendron that is native to China. It is a semi-evergreen shrub that can grow up to 1.5-2.5 meters in height. The leaves are leathery and have an elliptic-oblong to elliptic-lanceolate or oblong-oblanceolate shape, with a size of 2-5(–7) × 1–2.5 cm. The flowers are a beautiful rose-purple color with dark red flecks. This plant is considered a natural hybrid, resulting from the cross-pollination of R. mucronatum var mucronatum and R. indicum var formosanum. It has also been known by other names such as Rhododendron indicum var. pulchrum, Rhododendron indicum var. smithii, and Rhododendron phoeniceum f. smithii.
