Epigaea gaultherioides is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the Ericaceae family. It is found in Transcaucasia and Turkey. This evergreen subshrub grows up to 0.5 meters in height and has elliptical leaves that are leathery and have a cordate base and acuminate apex. The petioles of the leaves are pubescent and can range from 5-15 mm in length. The plant produces axillary fascicles of 1-3 flowers, each with a campanulate calyx that is 12-15 mm long and has 5 oval lobes. The flowers also have a funnel-shaped, pink corolla with 5 lobes. The plant produces subglobose capsules that are 1 mm long.
