Trochocarpa thymifolia is a flowering plant endemic to Tasmania, belonging to the Ericacae family. It is a small shrub with dark green, succulent leaves and pink to red flowers. The plant was first described by Robert Brown in 1810 and is found in alpine and subalpine regions of Tasmania. Its leaves are a distinguishing characteristic of the Ericacae family, with parallel venation on the underside. The plant produces blue to purple fruits, which can be seen alongside the flowers, creating a beautiful display. It is found in acidic, well-drained and moist environments, mainly in national parks across Tasmania.
