Pentachondra involucrata, also known as the forest frilly-heath, is a small plant found in Tasmania and belongs to the Ericaceae family. Its name comes from the Latin word "involucrata" which means "wrapper", referring to the whorl of bracts below the flower. This plant was first described in 1810 by the Scottish botanist Robert Brown in his book Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae.
