Arctostaphylos luciana, also known as Santa Lucia manzanita, is a woody plant endemic to the southern Santa Lucia Mountains in California. It can be found in coastal sage scrub chaparral habitats on shale outcrops and slopes, typically at elevations between 100-800 meters. This shrub or small tree grows up to 3 meters in height and has glaucous-gray leaves that are 1.5-2.5 cm wide and 2-4 cm long. Its flowers are pink and white and bloom from February to March, while its fruit is a red to green-red drupe. Due to its limited distribution, Arctostaphylos luciana is listed as a fairly endangered and vulnerable species on the California Native Plant Society Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants. Some populations are protected within the southern Cuesta Ridge Botanical Special Interest Area of the Los Padres National Forest.
