Hibbertia fractiflexa is a small, multi-stemmed shrub with hairy foliage, elliptic leaves, and yellow flowers. It is endemic to the Northern Territory and can grow up to 80 cm tall. The flowers are arranged in leaf axils with sixteen to twenty-two stamens. This plant was first described in 2010 and has four subspecies, each with slightly different characteristics. It is found in rocky areas and woodlands in Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. Two of its subspecies are classified as "least concern" while the other two are considered "data deficient" under conservation laws.
