Hibbertia diffusa, also known as wedge guinea flower, is a low-lying shrub with smooth stems and egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves that are typically found in southeastern Australia. Its bright yellow flowers, arranged on the ends of branchlets, have twenty to twenty-five stamens and bloom from September to November. This plant was first described in 1817 by Augustin Pyramus de Candolle from an unpublished description by Robert Brown. It is commonly found in open forests along the coast and ranges of southeastern Queensland, New South Wales, and far northeastern Victoria.
