Hibbertia diamesogenos is a unique flowering plant found only in the south-west region of Western Australia. It is a low-growing shrub that can reach up to 60cm in height and has varying features such as leaf size, hairiness, and flower size. Some specimens also have two or three staminodes, which are structures that resemble stamens. The species was first described in 1845 and later renamed in 2004. Its name is derived from Greek words meaning "across", "middle", and "kind". This plant can be found in a variety of soils and habitats in different biogeographic regions of Western Australia.
