Hibbertia cistoidea is a unique species of flowering plant found only in eastern Australia. It is a shrub with hairy foliage, long and narrow leaves, and yellow flowers that grow on short side shoots. The flowers have six to twelve stamens arranged on one side of the carpels. This species was first described in 1848 and was later renamed by Cyril Tenison White. It is not a common plant and can be found in Queensland and parts of New South Wales. Its name, cistoidea, refers to its resemblance to the Cistus plant.
