Hibbertia ancistrotricha is a shrub with narrow leaves and bright yellow flowers that is native to the south-west region of Western Australia. It grows up to 1.3 meters tall and has spirally arranged leaves with downward-turned edges. The flowers are arranged singly in leaf axils and have five sepals and five petals. The plant mainly flowers from September to November. It was first described in 2002 and its name refers to the hook-shaped hairs on its sepals. This species is found in a small area between Bendering, Harrismith, and Newdegate in Western Australia, where it grows in heath or shrubland on hills with gravelly clay soils.
