Cornus disciflora is a species of flowering plant that is native to Mexico and Central America. It can grow to be anywhere from 6 to 25 meters tall and blooms from January to July and September to December. The plant is found in various mountain ranges throughout the region, including the Sierra Madre Occidental, Sierra Madre Oriental, and Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt in Mexico, as well as the Chortis Highlands in El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It is typically found in humid forests at elevations between 1,000 and 2,900 meters. The plant's fruits are an important food source for birds.
