Tribonanthes violacea is a perennial herb belonging to the genus Tribonanthes in the Haemodoraceae family. It was first described by Stephan Endlicher in 1846 and grows from 0.05 to 0.2 m high in areas that are seasonally wet and on granite outcrops. It has white to purple flowers that bloom from July to October and is found in the IBRA regions of Avon Wheatbelt, Esperance Plains, Geraldton Sandplains, Jarrah Forest, Swan Coastal Plain and Warren.
