Food and beverages (non-medicinal):
The fleshy leaves and the thickened tuberous roots of Talinum fruticosum are consumed as a leafy vegetable. Young leaves are used in fresh or cooked preparations (e.g., added to curries, soups, or stews). In parts of India and tropical Africa, the species is cultivated for leaf production, with leaves and tubers eaten after boiling or other household processing. No documented non-culinary uses are reported; therefore, other categories are omitted.
